In
1990 the Point Wolf Covered bridge was destroyed by a construction accident.
The
bridge was replaced with a new one which was built by Callaghan Contracting
of
Moncton
NB for a cost of $545,602.
The
bridge was constructed in Callaghan's yard and then dismantled and shipped
out for pressure treating. It was then assembled in Fundy National Park.
The project was complete in 1992 which makes it by far the newest covered
bridge in New Brunswick.
These pictures were taken during the final assembly in Callaghan's yard.
