It was a Sad Day for Our Covered Bridge Fans.
We lost One of our Greatest Treasures
In the early morning hours of February 26 2001
the Mundleville Bridge (St. Nicholas River #1) located 5 km west of Rexton NB
went up in flames from an unknown origin. This bridge was 82 years old and was the second
longest in the province at 503 ft (150 meters) and it was the fifth
longest in the world.
It will be missed greatly by all covered bridge enthusiasts.

The Nerepis River No.3  (Bayard Bridge) was lost in a flash flood on April 13 1998.

It's another sad day for Covered Bridge enthusiasts everywhere.
On the night of May 3 2001
The Keenan Bridge (Monguart River Bridge #3)  in Johnville NB.
was burnt. It is suspected that arson was the cause.
