Sally my Black Lab all grown up

Well here I am all grown up. My Dad says I'm the most Beautiful Black Lab in the world. I think he really likes me. What do you think ???

Well folks another year has come and gone and my Dad says it's now 2007 what ever that means.
I got my first e mail a while ago and Sophy sent me a couple of pictures.
Sophy doesn't live too far from me so these pictures must have been taken last summer.
Sophy has that big yard to run in and that is what keeps her in shape.
Sophy went to visit her cousin Jessye in PEI nad sent me a pictute of her.
she's 12 years old and has a hard time seeing but she still loves to swim and does so when ever she can.

Another friend sent me some pictures today I don't know who the big guy is but he makes a nice chair. I forgot, his name is Shadow and just look at those eyes shine. He lives down in Little Rock, Arkansas. The big guy is his brother Flash	Every once in a while it's nice to catch some shut eye.

Now folks Isn't that a mean trick to play on a Black Lab.
My Dad took me down to the Quarry Park today and I thought
I was going to get my first swim of the season.
That's ICE out there.
And Dad told me it was April 14th.

Well folks I finally made it. The !!! FIRST SWIM !!!
It's eleven days later and My Dad took me down to the Quarry Park again.
The ice is all gone and I met a new friend.
His name is Chewy.
I don't know why they would call a Black Lab that.
He hasn't spent much time in the water yet but he will this summer.
After all he is a Black Lab and we love the water.

Well Folks last year I had my first swim on April 27 and this we were one day later.
Dad said it was April 28..
Again we went to one of my favorite places, the Quarry Park.
It sure was nice after a long winter with no swimming.


Well here we are.	Not so far out Dad This is my fist time this year


OH Well I got it anyway	Now to get that ball

	OK Dad let's do that again


Come on I'm waiting.

So that was my first swim at the park, now we are going to the beach. The water there is a lot colder so I had to wait. Dad said it was May 14 and the water should be just right for me


Now that's the beach	I can't wait. Ball or no ball, I'm going in


They want to go for a walk first, can you imagine that	This is where we went for the walk. Dad calls it Summerville Harbour


Now this is waht I came here for. You can walk anytime	There's that ball


So lets do that again

Now we are going to play ball. One of my favorite games.


We are going to play ball but I have to wait until my Dad finishes his work.	The sun got on my eyes and made me sneeze


OK Are we ready yet??	You just try and kick that ball past me


Go ahead Just try, I'm ready	Oh!! You want me to back up


OK I backed up. Now kick it.	So you got that one by me. Just try it again


OK so you did it again.

Does that ever feel nice	I just have to have a little swim first

I don't know what you call it but my dad sure can throw ot a long way	The next week my Dad took me to the beach for another swim


Ok Ok I'm ready	He sure threw it a long way out


But I got it	The water is still a bit cold even for a Black Lab


You see I can just lay around and be a pretty face	Not for too long though


OK It's time to paly ball	I can throw it of I get it just right

Well it's May 15 and time for another swim	I really like to jump way out in the water

My dad said that he was going to leave last years pictures here for a while.


I just can't get enough of this.	Come on, throw that stick.


I got it.	My Dad told me that I have to loose some weight and swimming is the best way to do it.


Have a big shake and get ready to do it again. Hay Chewy, you're going the wrong way.	Chewy's little sister is throwing the stick for us now.


Dad said not to go too far out but I think the water's warmer out here.	No the Park is OK for a quick swim but if a dog wants a good swim and lots of fun the beach is the place to go.


I just have to check things out and see what has changed from last summer.	The water looks the same from down here.


Yep it's the same water.	Swimming here sure is fun and I should loose some of that weight I put on this winter.


I forgot about the new toy Mom got me for Christmas	OK !! OK !! Let it go.


Boy will that thing ever go far.	Buddy thinks he can get it before me.


OK Mom here it is. Let's do it again.	No Buddy you aren't going to get it.


You have to try harder then that to beat me.	Buddy do you think she will throw it again ?


I don't know Sally but I'm ready.	Now was that a splash or what ??


OK Lets try that again.	Another day back at the beach.


Buddy told me he was going in for a swim today but I'll have to see that. The water is still pretty cold.	Yep he went in.


Now he's a game I really like to play.	You have to watch the ball real close because my Dad will try to kick it when I not watching.


I mean real close.	I got it. That's my Dad shed for his tractor behind me. He made it out of wooded pallets. He called ot his Pallet Shed and has a web page showing it being built.


Now I have to bring it back.	Then he kicks it again. This can go on for hours.

OK enough of that serious stuff. It's time to play.

	I sure do make a big splash.

	How's this for a splash ???

	Sometimes I go real high in the air.

	My Dad thinks I should have wings.

	You always have to bring the stick back though.

	That way he can throw it again.

	Ah Come on Dad hurry up, I'm waiting.

	A trip to the beach is also lots of fun too.

	And there is usually some treats waiting if we are good. That other guy there is my Big Brother Buddy. He's really not that grumpy, he just looks that way.

	Sometime a girl just likes to lay around the deck in the sun.

	Now playing ball is real fun.

	My Dad kicks it all over the yard and I chase it.

	I sure don't like waiting for him to kick it again.

	He even plays ball with me on the cold winter days and was it ever cold this day.

	We have lots of fun and it's great for that girlish figure which I really have to watch.

	After playing outside in that cold this is real nice. There's that big guy again.

	We really do get along good together.

	Sometimes when no one is looking I like to get up on the bed and have a little snooze.

	So there that's what I like to do. OH there's one more thing but we'll have to get so pictures of it. I just love to catch the Frisbee

	So now tell me, am I not the most beautiful little Black Lab you've ever seen. And you just got to love that tong.

My Dad told me we had to take some more pictures today.
He wanted me to get my web page finished so he could upload it.

	Here I am hard at work on my web page.

	So you don't think a dog can use a computer.

	Well you had better think again. I've been using one since I was 6 months old and if you don't believe me look at my first page and you will see me checking my e mail and playing games. Click here to have a look at it.

	Look what my Dad bought me. I guess he didn't want me to drive the Jeep any more.

	It's not very big but my Dad said it's just the right size for a little girl like me.

	Now we are going to play fetch the stick.

	I really like this game.

	I can even throw it my self.

	If I just get it the right way between my paws.

	Chewing it is a lot of fun too.

	My dad plays tough with me when I bring it back to him.

	I think he lets me win though.

	There I go chewing it again. Mmmmmmm I sure tastes good.

	Now we are going to go for a walk up the hill. Yes it's the same hill that my Dad got his Jeep stuck on. Click here to see how he did it.

	Now I want to go in that back field.

	Come on Dad hurry up.

	I really like it in here.

	Now we are going to play Frisbee.

	I really enjoy this.

	But you have to bring it back or he can't throw it again.

	OK Dad here it is.

	What are you waiting for, I'm ready.

	He we go again.

	Look at the air under them feet.

	Now this one landed in the grape vines.

	I thought it was in there for good.

	But I got it out.

	Sometimes it's easy to catch.

	And other times it isn't.

	See what I mean.

	Even so it's really fun.

	Well folks my Dad said it's April 20 th and that means that SPRING is really here.

	So lets get down to some serious playing and this is a serious stick for a little girl like me.

	Now this is what I've been waiting for all winter.

	The first SWIM. Maybe now I can lose some of that weight I put on.

	You see I didn't forget how to make a big splash.

	Chasing sticks in the water is real fun.

	Then when I get it on the shore I really give it a rough time.

	Yes that's ice out there but remember I'm a BLACK Lab and the cold doesn't bother me.

	I like to just swim around too.

	Where did that stick go ???

	Did I tell you I have a new friend that lives up the road. Her name is Patches and she's what they call a boxer.

	This was another day I have been waiting for. My first run on the beach this spring.

	All kinds of things happened here since last fall. I'll just have to check them out.

	OH Yea Buddy came along too.

	Hay Buddy check this out.

	OH that water feels so good.

	Hey Dad, we are over here.

	Now isn't that a nice view ?

	My Dad said that I can't play all the time and have to do some work. He chopped down this big tree and said I had to help get it out to the road.

	Well it was hard work but we got it done. So enough of this working thing. So now let's get back to playing.

	We got all that wood up in the yard so let's play a bit. Come on Dad, see that stick.

	After all that playing I have to have a little rest.

	There's that tong again.

	I must get some sun on my belly.

	Hey Sally that looks like fun.

	Sure does feel nice.

	This is my Mum's garden and she told me that these flowers are tulips. When I'm playing I have to make sure I stay out of here.

	Well I had a hard day, so it's time for a nap.

	We went for a big drive today and Dad stopped to get a treat for us.

	Boy I sure like that stuff. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Good

	Buddy likes it too. I didn't know his tong was that big.

OK folks I know you have been waiting for some new pictures of me and here they are. I was playing ball with my Dad today. Was it ever fun.

	You have to really watch him. He always tries to get it past me.

	I'm ready now.

	I got it.

	OK here it is Dad. Kick it again.

	My poor ball has seen better days but it still works good.

	I can even bring it back using my nose.

	This my new friend Oliver that I told you about. He loves to swim just like me.

	He's chasing my stick but I saw him with a BALL. Buddy wanted to meet him too and forgot that he doesn't like the water.

	Ahh Come on Oliver lets chase your ball.

	I bet I can get to it first.

	I got it before he did.

	You can't catch me.

	Ahhh He got it first this time.

	This my Mum. She's going to throw the ball for me.

	Don't you think we make a nice couple?

	After supper tonight Dad took Buddy and me up to the back field to see if we could find any birds to play with.

This is the back field that I really like to play in.
This is where all those birds hang out.
I'm looking for one now.
