Eight Good Reasons why you should get a Dog

Before you proceed I would like to mention that although this page
is a humorous page buying or getting a dog is a serious matter.
It must not be taken lightly.
So many dogs are neglected after the first few months.
They are living creatures with feelings and emotions just like you or I.
They require a great deal of love and care and in most
cases a lot of hard work.
Many breeds require a good deal of exercise so if you are
planning to get a dog check the various breeds
to find one that fits your circumstances.
For example a Black Lab is not a very happy dog if it is living in
a city and can't get to run and fetch everyday.
A Dalmatian on the other hand is quite content to sit and look pretty
but for their first few years requires a lot of exercise.
Many people with this breed have given up on the dog because it
was not behaving properly but if the dog has not received his daily
exercise he will be somewhat frustrated and show it in his behavior.
There are many breeds that require less exercise and should be
considered by anyone living in a urban area.
Some people feel that a professional training program
will solve any problems that a dog has.
Although these programs are very useful in most cases nothing will
replace the tender loving care that you give your dog.

And PLEASE don't allow your dog to bark and disturb your neighbors.
Some people will leave their dogs untended for extended periods of time
and the dog will get lonely and frustrated.
This usual causes them to bark.
They are just trying to get the attention they need but this can
cause a great deal of problems in any neighborhood.
And please don't forget your local dog rescue group.
There are so many dogs that need homes and there people
do a fantastic job

Please have your dog spayed or neutered.

Now to the fun part.

If you want someone who will bring you the paper without
first tearing it apart to remove the sports section

Get a dog.

If you want someone willing to make a fool of himself simply over the joy of seeing you

Get a dog.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and
never says its not quite as good as his mother made it

Get a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as long and wherever you want

Get a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't give a damn about football,
and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies

Get a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed just to warm your feet
and whom you can push off if he snores

Get a dog.

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you
are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word
you say is especially worthy of listening to,
and loves you unconditionally, perpetually

!!! Get a dog !!!

But, on the other hand, If you want someone who will never come
when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the
place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat
and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness.

Then my friend,

Get a cat!

But if you buy a dog and love it and care for it
you will end up with a very happy !!! PUPPY !!!
